Hello! My name is Charli Straley, and I am honored to be teaching at Hailey Elementary. I have been an educator for nearly a decade, with most of that time spent teaching first grade. I was born and raised in Idaho and have always loved calling this state home. I briefly left to attend the University of Montana Western, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After graduating, I returned to Idaho to begin my teaching career. During that time, I also earned a Master of Education in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University.
Building strong relationships with my students and understanding who they are and what they need are the foundations of my classroom. We focus on working hard, having fun, and reaching our full potential every day. First grade is a special year filled with incredible growth and development, and I am honored to be a part of that journey for each of my students.
Outside of school, I am lucky enough to be a wife and mom. My husband, Latner, and our children, Barlow and Palmer, bring so much joy to my life. We love spending time together, and there are always books being read, puzzles being built, and toys being played with in our home. I am a lifelong learner who loves growing both in and outside of the classroom. I look forward to another great year at Hailey Elementary!
Go Comets!
