We had an amazing day. We experienced 1 dirt road, 2 lost teeth, 
 and endless smiles and laughs!! We battled among 24 teams from
southern Idaho. All 3 teams won at least one round! Our 4th grade team
The readers made it to the semi-finals and finished in 3rd place!!
They were even battling against 6th graders - scary!! "I can’t imagine a
better group of students - they made me proud to be a Comet!!" Mrs. Doub.

Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
In September, Hailey Elementary received a USDA grant. This grant provides our students with fresh fruits and vegetables. During snack breaks 2 to 3 times a week, every classroom receives  a tray of yummy fruits or vegetables for students to try.

a tray of yummy fruits or vegetables for students to try. This program 
 gives our students the opportunity to try new things and teaches
them about why fruits and vegetables are important. Here are all
the fruits and vegetables students have tried out so far!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
All parents who are marked as primary contacts and have current email addresses in PowerSchool will automatically be opted into the EMAIL messaging. Any parent and/or emergency contact who is connected to a child in PowerSchool can opt-in to the SMS messages and receive texts by following the directions on the flyer.

To be marked as a primary contact in PowerSchool, parents must have checked the boxes in PowerSchool saying the children live with them and that they have custody of their children. They can edit this at any time in PowerSchool.

 

Transportation App
The Ride 360 app that BCSD Transportation uses to provide our families with student transportation information will be retired this month—and an updated app will now be available to all users. My Ride K-12 can now be downloaded in the Apple and Android app stores. You will need to download the new app to access updated transportation information for your student(s).

Usernames and passwords from Ride 360 will carry over to My Ride K-12. Additionally, you can use your existing login information to access a web version of My Ride K-12 at myridek12.tylerapp.com.
